Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just started the EMsam 6 mg patch recently. Once a patch is applied, can I shower without affecting the the integrity of the patch? And according to the guide, the only 4 places I can apply the patch are the right arm near the shoulder, the upper right back area, the front upper chest area and the left thigh near the groin. ANy other locations?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. No, you should should prevent patch from water, sweat, humidity, moisture etc. All these will affect drug integrity and drug release. So better to avoid water contact while having this patch. It should be apply to least mobile parts of the body. So I don't think you can apply to other sites, other than these four sites. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks
