Can I Take Clarithromycin For Urinary Tract Infection And Why Am I Having Constant Urge To Urinate?
Certain I have a UTI. Live in a small town. No access to dr for 25 hrs. Getting worse despite drinking lots of water, cranberry etc.. Burning now constant and feel like peeing all the time. I do have a repeat script for Clarithromycin for a previous chest infection. Could I safely start this?
Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have UTI and are unable to get medical advice in day or two.
You can certainly take Clarithromycin that you have with you .
Later on Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to and switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.
Ensure to drink more water. To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
