Can I Take Advil And Allergy Medicine For Sore Throat?

I have a sore throat where it hurts to talk, it hurts to swallow, it feels like my throat is almost swollen shut...my uvula is swollen and bright red....i almost feel like iam not getting enough air .........and the is yellow puss that is on the tip of my uvula....even if it is a virus..i need to get rid of this swollen uvula...hurts really bad...what can i do...taking allergy meds,

taking advil...

I had gone through your question.I can understand your concern.
All these symptoms could be due to upper respiratory infection.
Yes you can take advil for pain relief. Allergy medicine can be taken if you have any itching, runny nose.
I recommend the following.
1) A course of antibiotics.
2) Analgesics like paracetamol for pain relief. You can take tablet ibuprofen also.
3) Salt water gargling. Add a pinch of salt to a glass of warm water.

You will be fine.
