Hi!
I had gone through your query and understand your concerns.
The normal range for
high cholesterol is under 200 mg/dl and a level over 240mg/dl is considered high.
So your cholesterol is near the normal range.
I see that your
LDL cholesterol ( is called ''bad'' cholesterol) is high because the normal range is under 100 mg/dl and a level of 141mg/dl is borderline high.
Your
HDL cholesterol (''good'' cholesterol) is low,the normal range is over 60 mg/dl.
It's important to keep your cholesterol levels within healthy limits to prevent heart diseases.
You need to take the treatment that your doctor has prescribed you for the time he advised you. These treatment should be used at least 3 month and if after these your
lipid profile is in normal levels you can stop the treatment but you always have to be careful by having a healthy lifestyle(eat healthy food,do exercise, etc) and periodic monitoring of the cholesterol levels.
For the next 3 months, try to follow the following guidelines. Then get your cholesterol checked again.
High fibre diet, green leafy vegetables, fruit.
Cut down the processed food. White bread, doughnuts, white sugar, pizza should be completely avoided.
A 40 minute physical activity every day like morning walk, evening walk or a visit to the gym or swimming pool.
Hope I was able to help you.
Take care
