Can I Use Wikoryl/paracetamol/caffeine/chlorpheniramine Maleate/phenylephrine Hydrochloride For Flu And Sore Throat?
Dear Doctor, I am having flu and sore throat. Just wondering if the following tablet is good for it as I have it handy at home right now. WIKORYL TAB tab: paracetamol 500 mg, caffeine 16 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg, phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg. Thank you so much. Best regards, Siddharth
Hello It seems from the history that you are having sore throat and flu. These symptoms are because of infection and you require to use antibiotics and antiinflammatory, decongestant drugs. You can continue wikoryl tab containing analgesic and antipyretic in the form of paracetamol and decongestant drug in the form of phenyli ephrine hydrochloride.
Along with this you require to take antibiotic drug for control of infection in cases of bacterial infections and to prevent secondary bacterial infections in case of viral infection.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for prescription of drugs.
Thank you
