Can Implantation Bleeding Cause Symptoms Like Spotting?

I had a D&C due to miscarriage on 1/14. Light bleeding followed for two days then heavy bleeding and passing of clots on 1/21-1/22.
Two week follow-up appointment was deemed "good".
Have been having unprotected sex since follow-up appointment.
Spotted yesterday, 2/6 which was light, happened once while using restroom, and more of a red color. This morning I spotted again while using the restroom but was more or a brown color. Have had lower back pain as well the past two days.
Is this possibly my period returning since it has been less than 30 days since D&C? Implantation bleeding?
