Can Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Laser Therapy For Dark Skin Rejuvenation Cause Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation?
Can You have post inflammatory hyperpigmentation 6 months after ipl laser. I have a dark upper lip, brown spots, I went for skin rejuvenation not upper lip hair removal. Why is it so dark on my lip. My freckles did dry up and fell off then came back 6 months later, with a dark upper lip!
yes definitely its not just ipl but any laser or any procedure can cause post inflamatory hyperpigmentation as well as post inflamatory hypopigmentation. In most cases it depends on individual sensitivity, other important thing is sun avoidance is must.Usually these things can be managed with with topical moisturisers, sunscreens and in some cases topical steroids as well.freckles are a constant process again depending on individual skin sensitivity. most important thing is to avoid sunrays and yes hormonal factors need to be ruled out.dark upper lip could be a manifestation of normal developmental process which varies from individual to individual.its very common to see dark lines in patterned distribution in otherwise normal individuals
hope this information ll help -thanks
