Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Joint Health Complex From Shaklee Be Taken Along With Omeprazole?
I am currently taking omeprazole for acid reflux, and have been for 2 years. I have now started taking a supplement called Joint Health Complex from Shaklee. It has 100 mg of Bosweilia AKBA extract and 1500 mg of Glucosamine Hydrochloride. Is it safe to combine the joint complex and the omeprazole?
Shaklee Joint Health Complex contains a patent-pending, fast-acting form of Boswellia extract, a concentrated form of glucosamine and other key joint nutrients to help bring joint comfort and mobility.
Glucosamine, the active ingredient in Shaklee Joint Health Complex is a food supplement and not the medication. It can be taken safely with Omeprazole.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
