Can Keratosis Pilaris Rubra Faceii Cured With The Growing Age?

My 13 yr old daughter has just been diagnosed with Keratosis pilaris rubra faceii and is so upset by this. The doctor mentioned that the only way to combat the awful redness is to have laser treatment, surely it is not safe for a 13 yr old to have this done. Is this likely to fade as she gets older, it really is on her mind 24/7 as comments are made by her peer group. What would you suggest? Lisa
