Can Lactare Tablets And Galact Granules Be Taken Simultaneously?
Iam having three months old baby and i have less milk production. Iam using galact granules thrice daily in milk even though my baby is not sufficient with the milk. Is it safe to start lactare tabs along with galact granules? For how many days can i take the tabs? Pls suggest me.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Yes, Lactate and Galact granules can be taken simultaneously at about 2 to 3 times a day. Taking them for 3 to 4 days is usually sufficient.
However, barring any major disease or physical issue, every mother produces enough milk for her newborn - even a malnourished one.
So, be assured that you do produce enough milk. If in doubt, please review breast feeding technique with your paediatrician or obstetrician and also see a breast feeding counselor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Geeta Gangavati
