Can Levlen Ed Intake For Migrane Cause Seizure Like Side Effects?

I am a 24 yo female and been taking levlen ed for approximately 7 years. For about 3 years I have been experiencing migraine headaches periodically and recently have experienced two serious seizures in my sleep. I think the seizures have been occurring for some time, but the two most recent ones have resulted in being admitted to hospital. I am awaiting an eeg and neurological appointments but was wondering of taking the pill could be the reason for the seizures, or, if I am prone to them anyway, could it make them worse.

Your symptoms could be related to related to Levlen ED adverse effects. It is known to exacerbate migraine headaches and also cause microvacular changes, leading to possible seizures. It can also cause increased risk for stroke.
For this reason, I would recommend stopping taking it and also performing a brain MRI study.
You should discuss with the neurologist about these issues.
