Can Lupron Cause Kidney Failure?

Hello, I have only one kidney. I was told last month that I had cancer in my prostate , my Urology gave me a shot of Lupron. Four months later my cancer in my prostate was gone !!He gave me a follow up shot My question is , is the lupron hard on my one kidney ?

Short answer: No, Lupron doesn't cause kidney failure.

1. urinary frequency/urgency
2. hematuria (presence of blood in urine)
3. urinary tract infection
4. testicular soreness/pain etc.

Lupron doesn't cause kidney failure. If your single kidney isn't healthy, you should consult with an urologist or nephrologist if Lupron isn't contraindicated in such case.
