Hello,

Both these syrups are safe for infants, but maintain time between doses as follows:
1. Syrup Calpol gave at six-hourly intervals.
2. Syrup Meftal gave in that gap of six hours. If the fever does not come down, Meftal as well should be given earlier than six-hour intervals.
This combination should work. Therefore, give Calpol, wait an hour, if the fever doesn't come down give Meftal. Do not repeat earlier than six hours. Try cold towel sponging as well. Be sure to continue the antiepileptic medication (Frisium).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan
