Can Metformin Cause Urge To Urinate And Feeling Fullness In Bladder?

I have high blood sugar. While finding this out I was urinating large amounts every 20-30 minutes. Once my sugar got under control that stopped. Now. I have a full feeling in my bladder but only urinate once but the full feeling doesn't go away. I have had bladder infections long ago but this doesn't feel the same. No fever. Could this be side effect of metformin?
