Can Monistat 3 Ovule Cause A Sore Throat?

Can Monistat 3 ovule cause a sore throat? After using a perfumed substance down there I assumed I had a yeast infection because of the thick white discharge. I started Monistat 3. The morning after I noticed my throat was sore. The second day I had tingling all over my body (but not in the vaginal area). I have completed the three day treatment and still have a sore throat (no swelling or discoloration anywhere on my body). I have not had and burning or itching in my vaginal region. Could this product have the make-up of amoxicillin; cause I am allergic to that as well.

Monistat 3 ovule is a 3 day combination pack (3 day ovule insert plus external cream) containing chief ingredient anti-fungal medication 'Miconazole' which is used to treat vaginal yeast infections. It doesn't contain amoxicillin, which you are allergic to. Common side effects include: headache, mild vaginal burning/irritation/itching, and stomach cramps. It generally does not cause sore throat and tingling feeling all over the body.

However, kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Salt water gargling with warm water twice daily.
2. Take antihistaminic medication containing Levocetirizine once a day.
3. Take medicated throat lozenges.

If the symptoms doesn't subside and becomes bothersome, kindly seek medical attention promptly.
