Can Motrin Be Given For The Fever While Tylenol Has Already Been Given ?

my daughter who is 25 years of age. had a fever of 102. I gave her 2 extra strength Tylenol. that was 3 hrs ago. can I now give her 2 motrin to be sure her fever doesn't creep up during sleeping. her fever now is 99.8
never mind. I`ve been a mother for 25 years. no need to pay for what I realy already know

Motrin can be taken 400mg, 600mg or 800 mg every 6 to 8 hours , not exceeding a daily does of 3200mg. You can consider giving her one of these strengths to reduce the chance of fever recurrence.

Tylenol can be used every 4 to 6 hours.

In addition to these medications, she can also consider using cool clothings, drinking cool or cold liquids and tepid sponging to help keep the temperature under control.
