Can Myocardial Bridging In The Distal LAD Be The Cause For Chest Pains?
Hi, my name is David and I am 44 years old and I have been having chest pains pretty much all my life. I have been an athlete all my life which included representing Australia for over 10 years. During the last 2 years the pain has been getting worse and more regular. I have been rushed to hospital on occasions during the last 30 years only to be told I have not had a heart attack. 18 months ago I had quite a sharp pain whilst I was in hospital for quite a serious spinal surgery after an accident but the tests came back negative for a heart attack once again. I don't bother going anymore when I have the big pains. I went and had more tests and found I have Myocardial Bridging in the distal LAD. So far I have spoken to 2 specialists and have basically been brushed aside as they do not believe the bridging is causing these pains. I have since found out that both these Specialists work in the same group. The pain varies from a pulsating pressure, tightness, shallow and then to sharp pain. I have had on a few occasions really sharp pain that has gone thru to my back and run down my left arm. Some times the pressure & pain will last for up to about 20-30 minutes and these are the ones that really take my breath away and exhausts me. I really need to get to the bottom of this as I am lucky to go for 2 days without any pain. My wife, my children along with my friends are also quite concerned as they have all seen when these big pains hit me. It's quite scary. Your help is much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
