Can Nyquil Tablet Cause Chronic Dizziness And Headache?
yes, i have been taking Nyquil to help me sleep and have noticed that I have been feeling dizzy, and having headaches. I have started wondering if it were a side effect to the drug~ Nyquil. And if so how long until the symptoms go away. Last night was the first night I stopped taking it..
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. Nyquil consists of antihistaminic and antipyretic drugs. These drugs can cause dizziness, sedation and even headache. Chronic use may cause significant dizziness and headache so should be avoided even though the drug is an OTC medicine. Please consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen. For sleep try to avoid using it daily. Medicines like Zolpidem, Benzodiazepines can help to sleep and are more potent drugs. These drugs are prescription medicines and need proper consultation of a doctor.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
