Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Doctor i was supposed to start my period on the 19th of this month and on the 16th I had unprotected sex, today is 23rd and I havent seen my period, does it mean that I am pregnant? Also i am on parlodel medication, do you think, parlodel caused the change of my menstrual cycle or am I pregnant?
Parlodel contains bromocriptine which is used to treat hyperprolactinemia. Parlodel and a used to make periods regular and to help you become pregnant. The cycle irregularities you are having doesn't necessarily mean that you may be pregnant. Wait for 5 days before you do a pregnancy home test. The delay may come as a result of the main issues you are having such hyperprolactinemia.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
