Can Postinor Help In Abortion?
Hello. I m sorry for bothering you but I need professional advice. I had intercourse with my girlfriend about 12 days ago, and we were unprotected, she had a blood test 3 days ago and it turned out positive. she asked her gynocologist what she could drink or do to stop the pregnancy process, so to speak, and he told her to drink 2 pills of postinor, and she did last night. Could that have stopped the process? and she is having some abdominal pain, is that normal? I am really worrried for her, and I can t have a child right now, I am 20 and live at home, with parents in Guatemala. Please help me.

Postinor is not effective after getting positive test.
It is a emergency contraceptive pill which should be used with in 72 hrs of unprotected sex.
It may cause some changes in the uterus and will cause spotting only.
It will not cause complete abortion.
It is advised to get an ultra sound and know the gestational age ,and treatment depends on the age of foetus.
If it less than 12 weeks,combination of mefipristone and misoprostal will be effective.
If it is more than 12weeks it has to be done by under gynic supervision.
Abdominal pain is due some endometrial changes by postinor only, it will come down slowly.Ask her to take menthol spas for pain.
