Can Roaccutane Be Taken After Alcohol Consumption?
Hi , I am a 19 year old that currently takes roaccutaine for my acne. As a college student it is near impossible to avoid binge drinking alcohol. I have been told I should not drink alcohol while on it. Is it very harmful to binge drink once a week while on the medication ?
It's not safe to take Roaccutane after consuming alcohol.
If taken after consuming alcohol, Roaccutane may cause increased heartbeats, palpitations, warmth or redness under your skin, tingly feeling, nausea, and vomiting.
So, try to avoid consuming alcohol as long as you take Roaccutane for the treatment of acne.
Hope this will help.
Take Care!
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
