Can Tioconazole Cream Be Used After A Course Of Miconazole Cream?

I have used a 3 day miconazole cream for a vagnal yeast infection, The suppository was messy and did not stay in place very well so I am unsure if there may be a bit of residual yeast left. concurrent to the cream application, I have taken 2 doses of diflucan in addition and feel as though there is still a bit of residual yeast. Is it ok to use tioconazole 1 day cream?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yeast may be resistant to Miconazole.
Tioconazole ,newer topical anti-fungal agent has been used successfully in topical treatment of vaginal candidiasis .It can be applied.
