Is it safe to take Trapic MF while breastfeeding? hi i had c section delivery 35 days ago and had spotting type bleeding since then but from yesterday i am having severe bleeding my doctors has recommended trapic mf 3 times a day as I am breastfeeding my one month old baby is it safe to take the tablet what is the reason for the bleeding
Yes, it can be taken safely while breastfeeding. Trapic MF (Tranexamic acid and Mefenamic acid) is commonly prescribed to prevent bleeding associated with menstruation, severe loss of blood and other such conditions. It is excreted into human milk at a very low concentration to have any harmful effects in the suckling infant.
Severe vaginal bleeding could be due to some hormonal imbalance or diseases of the ovaries or uterus which need to be properly evaluated by your gynecologist and treated accordingly.
