I have been off my antidepressant medications for several months now (Cipralex and trazadone) but am finding it very hard to get a good sleep. Would it be ok to start taking Trazadone (25mg.) when I can't sleep. I also take Lyrica and Ibuprofen at bedtime for my back pain (surgical fusion a few years ago) Thank you very much for answering my query:)
Hello.Trazodone you can take. But there are other alternatives. Medical and non medical. I need know why did you on antidepressant? If your depression is over , your problem is now called withdrawal effects of medicines. You can be shifted to any low dose benzodizepine like clonazepam. You can have exercises daily according to your physical structure. You can have a cup of warm milk before 15 minuets going to bed.You can discuss with your treating doctor what I told. And reach to some solution.
