if you go to a pregnancy test and it turns out negative but you have a urinary tract infection can the infection change the result of the test? and is urinary tract infection common sign in early pregnancy? and would you recommend retaking the pregnancy test? Regards Sammy
Urinary tract infection is not a common sign in early pregnancy. About half of women report increased urinary frequency in pregnancy. This is due to normal physiological changes in urinary system in pregnancy and not due to infection. You have not provided necessary details like when was the last period, and regularity of periods to tell you when you should take the pregnancy test. Just because you have urinary infection you should not repeat the test. I hope I have made things clear. If you have any doubts please write to me.
