Can Ultracet Be Taken For Pain In The Right Upper Quadrant Of Abdomen?
I am struggling from pains in my stomach at da right upper side due to gall bladder stones n da pain killer prescribed is spasmo proxyvon but I m scared to take it since I m aware abt its addiction will ultracet help me n wil I get it without a prescription?
Hi there. If the pain is due to gall bladder stones and if you have active inflammation of the gall bladder called Cholecystitis then you'll need a surgery for its removal as there is every chance of the infection getting worse and may eventually spread inside the abdomen once gall bladder ruptures if not treated in time. Pain killers are only a temporary measure. The chances of addiction are higher with Ultracet than with SpasmoProxyvon. Ultracet is a combination of Paracetamol and Tramadol , the latter of which is an opioid compound and may cause drowsiness and addiction. SpasmoProxyvon is a combination of NSAID and a spasmolytic and may help the pain better but on the long run NSAID abuse has a risk of stomach ulcers and kidney damage. So my suggestion is to consult a surgeon at the earliest and get an abdomen ultrasound scan done. Hope this helps.
