Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 11 year old son has been given zithromycin (sp) for what the doctor believes is strep throat though the quick test came back negative. She mentioned it s possible the test was done too soon to show up on this particular test. Anyway, my son took 10ml and unfortunately through up that and the Sprite he was drinking. Question 1: Should we give him more tonight or try again tomorrow? Question 2: Is it common for him to feel as if he can t breathe? Sore throat and fever are his two primary symptoms and he s trying to sleep but he gets anxious when he feels as if he can t breathe. When he s sleeping, however, he doesn t appear to be in distress. Thanks,
thanks for quotations , in my opinion. q1) it's better to repeat dose next day as you already given one dose today. q2) if it doesn't seems as significant problem then it's okay as if. already the medications advised to you are higher antibiotics so don't wry infection will go , for fever it's better to do sponge wash , and paracetamol (if there is no history of adverse reaction to PCT). I hope you happy with information kindly rate it. thank you.
