Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having knee replacement surgery 11/28/17 in Madison Wisconsin. In the meantime I have been prescribed several pain medications - Tramadol 50mg. (couldn t take)due to blisters, vision issues, Nabumetone 500 mg. (couldn t take) due to my prolonged exposure to sun - we are farmers and now have Acetaminophen/Cod#3 (300/30 mg. tabs). The Acetaminophen does help the pain but I wake up a lot in the night with pain reoccuring. I have Zolpidem 5 mg. tabs that I have for sleep and am wondering if I can space them so that I can get a full nights sleep. I need sleep very badly... Thank you.

Can Zolpidem Medicine Be Used As A Sleeping Pill?
Hello, Yes, you can have Zolpidem 5 mg bedtime for sleep. If not responding then dose can be increased to 10 mg as well. All the best.
