Can A EKG Result Showing A Flat Pulse Going Straight To A Spike A Cause Of Concern?
I m a 53 year old male, Although I don t exercise a lot anymore, I had been a gym rat 5-7 days a week into my mid 40s. Just had an ekg. On the third line down it showed a rise in the line going straight to a spike. The person giving the test commented it should be flat and that it was related to the pulse coming back to the heart? The Dr. said this could be normal for me but has no old test for comparison. He says I have no signs of heart disease but ordered a tread mill test. How serious is this?
HI Well come to HCM Here the important is your clinical symptoms and not the tracing of EKG, more over reading a EKG graph is not easy going this electrophysiological tracing and expert can only do it, it is just out of the reach beyond the understand for lay man even for unskilled medical profession so in my opinion just forget this, take care.
