Hi, Declining serial beta-hCG levels associated with a failure to detect a gestation sac which had been seen earlier, indeed indicate a missed pregnancy. Associated with this, you may notice that the pregnancy symptoms that you may have been experiencing seem to decline and disappear. Please get serial serum beta-hCG values coupled with trans-vaginal sonograms to establish the diagnosis and further management. See your consultant for further support. Wish you good health.
