Can A Doctor Of Reproductive Endocrinology Help In Sexual Dysfunction?

i want to consult a endocrinologist in Chennai city who can help my daughters marriage which is not consummated even after a year . yesterday I blew up rs 400 when I went to see a endocrinologist who after hearing the above suggested another Dr who is speacialising in reproductive endocrinology. For that he took Rs 400 which looked day light robbery.He said he is for only thyroid . Then he should put a a board as thyroid clinic instead of as enocrinologist which is misleading. Therefore my question is whether the Dr of Reproductive endocrinology will be able to cure sexual dysfuncion of my daughter Pl help me with your answer.

Hallow Dear,

I feel your choice of specialist needs to be modified. Non-consumption of marriage is mostly due to :

1. Erectile dysfunction: The penis either does not get erected or the erection cannot be sustained. There are many underlying causes for this; however the most common is Diabetes.

2. Altered sexual orientation like homosexuality.

3. Vaginismus like problems in the girl.

There are many more conditions; however these are the commonest ones.

You should see a sexologist for this problem.

CSEPI is a body of such experts. Its chapter does exist in Chennai. Please try to get more information from this organization.
