General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Yes, fetal heart can be seen at 5 weeks conception in normal pregnancy. Yet, it is it not seen at 5 weeks, it's appearance is awaited till 7 weeks (for sometimes the development can get late till 7 weeks in few cases). About bicornuate uterus, in case it's only restricted to fundus of uterus, pregnancy has chances to grow normally. Otherwise, it can be aborted. I feel with the hope of growth, she has been overloaded with hormones, with the view to avoid abortion due to bicornuate uterus. Please have a second opinion about it.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
