Can A Heatstroke Lead To Joint Pain, Fatigue And Dizziness?

My husband had a mild heatstroke attack while we were in Bangkok (43 deg.C) He seemed to recover within 1 hour or so but since we came home he has gradually become slower, dizzy, more pain in joints, and total lack of energy. He spends most of the day in bed now. This is getting worse. Is it related in any way? Do you have any info. on this happening to others? Thank you.

Hello,

Heat stroke related symptoms depend upon the underlying severity of the condition as mild, moderate or severe. Even in case of severe heat stoke, one usually does not get joints pain particularly, though fatigue and dizziness can be present. I would recommend a systemic work up for the combination of symptoms to rule out any other inflammatory disorder preceeding the heat stroke which triggered the heat stroke as secondary event rather than primary incidence.
