Can a new pacemaker cause a person to get hot or cold frequently? Will it affect their previous sleep pattern? My 87 year old dad just had a pacemaker put in last Saturday. Now we can't get him to go to bed at his regular time and he just wants to stay up and walks around the house like its day time. He used to take a nap during the day and isn't even doing that. Unfortunately he is only getting about five hours sleep and it is taking its toll on my mother and I who are his caretakers. He also gets uncooperative during the late hours. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
