Can A Patient Conceive Naturally With Irregular Menstruation?
Hi I was on the 2 month injection almost for 4 years I went off it then I went on the pill then I stop taking the pill and went back on the 2month injection now iam off everything 4 a almost 1year and 5month and I only got my period once and never again after that.now iam taking stameta can I fall pregnant
Yes! Getting pregnant is related to ovulation — the time that a girl is most fertile and has the highest chance of getting pregnant. A girl with irregular periods still ovulates, just not on a regular, predictable schedule but since you are on Contraceptives ovulation gets delayed. People who take oral contraceptives, or birth control pills, generally don't ovulate. your ovulation will stop, and your period is not a “real” period, but rather withdrawal bleeding so you need to have a talk with your gynaecologist and take ovulation inducing medications if prescribed and plan for your pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Minaz Kagadkoti, General & Family Physician
