I am writing a movie script about leuckemia. can a person resist this for about 12 years ?

Hello,
In summary, it is possible; because there are different types of leukemia. Patients can survive the chronic ones (CML or CLL) for that long, but my guess is that its probably chronic lymphoid leukemia (CLL). If well-treated, chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) also.
