Can A Tattoo Effect A Heart Condition?
My Dad is 73 and sufferers from congestive heart failure
He is on Warfarin/Carvalilo (approx Spelling) Statins and blood pressure tablets and he has just had a tatto done in New Zealand and will be flighing back to the uk in 10-12 days time I am concerned what affect this will have on his health

Hello! Thank you for asking on HCM! Regarding your concern, I would like to assure you that tattoo doesn't seem to affect your dad's heart condition. The main predictor of your dad's life expectancy remain his heart failure severity. He needs to be always properly treated and monitored.
I recommend periodic follow ups by his cardiollogist, regular anticoagulation level check ups.

I will try to explain and give you my opinion.
Making a tattoo won't create any heart problem.
The only problem might have been in the moment when the tattoo is done becouse your father is under warfarine.
Warfarine is a anticoagulant drug.It means that it rises the risc for hemorrhage. During the tattoo, scratches of the skin might couse hemorrhage to a person that is taking warfarine.
If anything has happened during that moment than everything is alright. Nothing could happen post from the tattoo.Your father could travel in the same contitions as he has done before, the tattoo does not have effects on heart function.
