Can A Tender Lump In Head, Months After An Accident, Be Serious?
on December 2nd I was on my three wheeler and fell backwards and hit my head on the pavement which made a goose egg size lump here on my left occipital lobe today is December 27th and I still have a very small marble sized lump there and so is tender should I be concerned?
Tenderness and pain in a lump that size.. months after the head injury is something that should be looked at by the doctor. It's really tough to see what's going on in that lump without having eyes on it (examining it).
The tenderness may just be hypersensitivity from the nerves in the skin around the lump. In which case it will go down over the next few months. If the lump is angry looking, red, swollen, etc. There is a chance that it has gotten infected. If that is the case it will require antibiotics and possibly some surgery on the lump to get rid of the infection.
So all in all. I would get that lump to your doctor as soon as you have time.
