Can Abortion Cause Excess Bleeding With Thrombophilia?
I have factor v Leiden hetero and received clean injections on flight to Mexico two months ago (x2) I am from UK. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and am booked for a tablet abortion tomorrow. Will this cause any complications, I have read so many bad bleed stories. Help

At first let me clarify that Women with thrombophlebitis do not have excessive bleeding with thrombophilia. So don't worry.
Once the abortion process starts after taking the tablet, it is natural to have heavy bleeding and pain. But if you are changing more than two pads/ hour for more than 2 hours, you must consult Doctor.
You may have period like bleeding after abortion for a week or so. If the bleeding continues for more than two weeks, you need to consult Doctor.
