Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I had two abcsesses dained recently. One on my neck and one on the outside of my left ear, both no larger than a pea. The pressure around them reduced since the drainage but now I have pressure in my cranium. Is this the beginning of a sinus infection (i have no mucus right now) or is it possibly the spread of the abcsess to the brain tissue. Please tell me good news!
You have history of getting abscess drained and now are experiencing pressure in your cranium. Such symptoms may be indicative of sinus infection. Get clinically examined by an ENT, get X-ray PNS done. Steam inhalation twice daily may relieve your symptoms.
Taking antihistamines or decongestants may help to ease the symptoms. Your treating doctor may recommend CT / MRI to detect any developing medical condition like tumor, brain infection, stroke, aneurysm, etc. Get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
