I've been able to lose weight in the past but seems impossible now. My acid reflux has affected me alot more in the past 2 yrs, It flares up almost everyday. I know the thyroid gland in in the front of the throat and the acid burns in the throat really bad.

Hi
Thank you for contacting healthcare magic.
Thyroid gland is present in the neck but acid reflux cannot affect thyroid since thyroid gland is located outside the esophagus in front of trachea. Acid reflux remains inside the esophagus and may reach upto the pharynx thus causing recurrent throat inflammation.
