Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain
acid reflux can cause enlarged Circumvallete Papillae in case of the acid refluxes from stomach to throat and also mouth leading to chemical burning of tongue leading to inflammation and swelling in Circumvallete Papillae..
But in your case it seems to be more due to
throat infection as you have a medical history of
sore throat with sinus issues there can be throat infection secondary to
post nasal drip..
You can get an endoscopy done under consultation with a Gastroenterologist and if acid reflux is diagnosed antacids, dietary modifications and loosing weight can help..
In case of throat infection and
sinus infection antibiotics, painkillers and warm saline gargles will help..
As of now do warm saline gargles, soda bicarb gargle and sucking ice pops and taking Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen can relieve..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
