How Can Enlarged Circumvallate Papillae Be Treated?

i have enlarged Circumvallate Papillae they go in a v shape, and i read
that they are normal and stuff, but they are freaking me out , can i put my tounge back to the way it was ? will they allways be there? ,is it contageous , how do i make them go ?

Circumvallate Papillae can get swollen due to a number of causes like throat infection, oral infections, post nasal drip, burning with hot foods and chemical substances like concentrated solution of mouthwash, allergic reaction to any food or medicine, acid reflux etc..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be advised according to the cause confirmed..
As of now you can do warm saline gargles.

You can gargle with cold water and suck ice pops..
Take a soft diet and maintain a good oral hygiene..
You can also take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and swelling..
