Can Acyclovir Be Affect HAART Medication Treatment?
Hi Doctor, I m a HIV+ patient, and I m having HAART medication now, (Enfavirenz + Lamivudine). I have other skin problem as well that requires taking Herpevex pill (Acyclovir). Will taking Acyclovir affect my HAART medication treament? I have asked doctors and searched online but i don t get solid answers. Sincerely, Terrence

Acyclovir would affect ART and its outcome. Previously certain studies showed that it even can potentiate the ART. Nothing to worry. When there is an indication for Acyclovir nothing wrong in taking this.
