Can Amusement Rides Cause Any Danger With Mononucleosis Infection?

My son has been diagnosed with mononucleosis. He has already finished his course of antibiotics and told to avoid contact sports for at lease 2 more weeks. We are going to amusement park in 1 week. Is it safe for him to do amusement rides ie. roller coasters or is this dangerous to his health?

Hello and thank you for your question.
The reason for avoiding contact sports with mononucleosis is the danger of spleen rupture. Rides that are high velocity like roller coasters are probably not a good idea until the 2 weeks is up.
