Can Angiogram Be Delayed After Suffering From A Heart Attack?

My 50 year old son had a heart attack midday on 12 March 2011 - he still has not had his angiogram, although it was scheduled for the 14th, 15th & 16th - it is now scheduled for tomorrow, 17th. Is this acceptable? Apparently, he seems to be getting moved down the queue because of more urgent cases. He is in Warwick Hospital.

All patients who had heart attack need no angiogram. If risk factors for heart attack such as diabetes, cholestrol, hypertension, smoking, etc., are controlled and the treadmil test is negative, majority of the patients can be managed by medical treatment alone. So angiogram can be delayed or can be avoided in deserving cases.
