Can Antibiotics Cause Facial Cellulitis To Get Worse Before It Gets Better ?
Hi. Being treated for facial cellulitis. Taking co-trimoxazole twice a day...today is day 3. After 2 doses of antibiotic, my face looked better, however, today my face looks worse. Is it normal for facial cellulitis to get worse on antibiotics before it gets better? Thank you.
It is always suggested to complete antibiotic course, you can change antibiotic [as Clotrimoxazole may cause worse in very few individual[ unknown reaction] antimicrobial susceptibility test can be done and then prescription can be taken or Amoxicillin / Clavunate 875mg/125mg can be taken. For psychological stress related with it, do pranayama and meditation. Eat fruits, vegetables, drink clean water, smile more.
