What Causes Lightheadedness And Weakness While Taking Bactrim Ds?
I have a cut on my leg that was infected and I ve been on Bactrim DS for 1 week now... The cut looks like it s healing really well but I ve felt very weak, hot with no fever, and lightheaded.. Are these just side effects to the medicaine, or should I see my DR?
You had a cut on your leg that was infected. You were on Bactrim DS for a week, presently you feel very weak and light headed. If your wound has healed, you should stop taking Bactrim DS. People sensitive or allergic to Bactrim DS (sulfa drugs) should inform their treating doctors during clinical examination and consultation. Yes, you are experiencing the side effects of the medicine you had been taking.
Once you stop taking it, gradually you will start feeling better. Take adequate fluids and water to keep your body electrolyte level well under control. Take home made nutritious food. Keep your wound clean, do not get it infected. Do not touch or scratch. Stay away from addictions if any. You can take vitamin-B-complex syrup to feel better.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
