Can Anxiety Cause Breathing Difficulty?

Besides the obvious, what else could be cause of difficulty breathing? My sister is unable to catch her breath...she is in hospital and all test show her heart and lungs are fine. Doctors have been unable to find cause...thinking could be anxiety.
