Can Anxiety Cause High Blood Pressure?
Hi i was taking toprol 50mg for three years for blood pressure associated with anxiety/panick disorder. My doctor the past four months has cut my blood pressure medicine completly. I only take 1mg a day of klonopin for anxiety. Sometimes I take my blood pressure home and it's 115 by 71 and sometimes it can be 145 by 95 and when I take klonopin to relax it goes down to 120 by 78. Should I worry or is this part of my anxiety causing this.

In panic disorder autonomic system of body gets disturbed and symptoms like increase BP , anxiety, sweating, trembling occurs. If your anxiety are not controlled by klonopin only then you should take ssri drugs like paroxetine, sertraline also.these ssri are the preferred drugs for panic disorder.
